Construction
of MERIC's offices, auditorium, and labs (click here for a floor
plan) was completed in the spring of 2002. The facility is equipped
with an eight station
bio-skills lab for medical training utilizing cadaveric specimens.
Directly
adjacent to the bio-skills lab is a 50-seat
auditorium. The auditorium features a fully integrated audio/visual
system controlled via touch screen. This audio/visual system, allows two-way communication and viewing between the bio-skills lab, the auditorium,
and the Premier Health Plaza surgical suites. Course
participants in the bio-skills lab and or the auditorium may have live
interaction with surgeons in the surgical suites. This interaction clearly
enhances hands-on surgical training experiences, anatomic dissections
in the lab, and didactic learning in the auditorium. |
